Cheat are a post-production studio in Hackney, East London who specialise in colour grading for commercials, film, music videos and TV. They contacted me to produce interior imagery of their studio reception area and edit suites for their new website. The goal was to show how comfortable and homely they are as clients often spending very long days reviewing footage with the colourists. For this reason, I worked alongside set decorator Helen Zarkina who advised Cheat on some interior decoration to finish the spaces and added some lifestyle and fresh props for the shots. With black ceilings and dark grey walls, these were challenging spaces to shoot, especially as we want to keep the blinds down to show them suites as they would normally be experienced. It was a bit of a head-scratcher but I always enjoy having my lighting skills tested. Here’s what we came up with:
